How long will symbian be supported

AnonD, 13 Jun What a heck are you talking about That's kind of lame don't you think? Second, use n8 or and then talk. No personality useless devices.

So, what can people buy? Nothing or android. And what are you doing? You follow the crapp path of locked os's. Symbian is not an os, symbian is The OS that was riped of by other developers and sold in different shapes with less functionalilty's and in crappy devices. While others are still feeding every less breath of symbian. Nokia abandoned it to them. Nokia never sued them for stealing everything what symbian had and promote like it was something new.

Nokia never promoted symbian and never did nothing for it. Nokia abandoned symbian since they bought it For the rest of unknowing mass? Shhhhh, i'm not interested.

Reading this article really makes me sad. I remember those days when Nokia was still the top smartphone manufacturer and symbian was still at the pinnacle of the smartphone OS hierarchy.

Before Whenever I hear the song "in my heart by moby" it was Nokia's theme back then it makes my heart thump. I had like 3 symbian smartphones and I guess 2 of those were N-series. Now Symbian smartphones are being almost obsolete by today's standard. I am now using a SG note II and it really works fine. Now whenever I hear the song samsung's theme song "over the horizon" it reminds me that it is a different world now, Nokia is slowly moving back and their presence in the smartphone world is becoming lesser and lesser.

Today, Symbian is actually maintained by Accenture , a management consulting company, to which Nokia outsourced development and shipped off thousands of employees in Accenture is supposed to maintain the OS through So, what killed Symbian? Complexity, according to Nokia. Android will die out when Nokia and LG present their meego devices. They still made a nice profit and sold more smartphones than the same period last year.

Long live Symbian! The world's most popular and most successful mobile operating system! I like nokia phones. But since this new guy took over, i dont really like the direction he put nokia in and the way he communicate with the public.

A lot of confusion and no clear direction. He should be fired once and for all. This is hilarious! It is plain lie - they are just not able to forfeit today's S60 phone sales. Place your bets folks! Why everyone is after Nokia? Why everyone is after Symbian? If you dont like the OS, dont use it. As for Symbian, to me it is still the most user friendly OS to date, I even tried using Andriod, and it sucked big time. The menu and items are so damn confusing, plus every Android phone looks like a clone of each other, HTC ones being the only exception.
